The principal objective and overall programmatic approach of H.O.G.A.R. for this scattered site housing
program is to alleviate the difficulties associated with securing and maintaining permanent housing for people living with AIDS and to offer and deliver needed supportive services to PLWA in a effective and efficient manner so that they can live independently and with dignity in the community for as long as possible. In addition we provide a range of services, including relocation assistance for these residents who are no longer able to function independently, access to substance abuse and mental health counseling, access to primary medical care, social/cultural/recreation resources and activities, entitlements advocacy, service plan development and review, and refinement of daily life skills such as budgeting money management, travel training, meal preparation, housekeeping and grooming.
